“All About Boston”, a group show of new paintings of New England’s largest city will be unveiled at J. Todd Galleries in Wellesley, MA at a gala reception on Friday, November 14th from 5 to 8 P.M. Over 60 new pieces will be hung for the event, after 23 of the region’s top award-winning artists have traveled ‘all about Boston’ to find fresh subjects and some rarely painted views, done throughout the various seasons. According to Robert Totaro, co-founder of J. Todd Galleries, “In over 30 years in business, we have never been aware of a large-scale exhibit of Boston paintings by so many elite New England artists. We believe this will be an historic night for art in Boston. We will dedicate four of our showrooms for this event.” Many of the artists are esteemed members of The Guild of Boston Artists and/or The Copley Society. “The market for excellent original oils of our great City has always been vigorous” said Totaro, “but in the past six or seven years, the demand for Boston subjects has been stronger than ever. As a result, exceptional Boston paintings are much more difficult to find, which is what prompted this event.”
